Editorial Policy and Clinical Review
How every guide is written, checked by a specialist and kept up to date.
How we create and clinically review our guides
Chum Wellness publishes mental health guides for people in Bangladesh and Bangladeshis abroad, in Bangla and English. What you read can shape real decisions about your health, so every guide is built on real experience, checked by a qualified clinician who specialises in its topic, and kept up to date.
Four steps before any guide goes live
Listen
Every guide starts from what people in Bangladesh actually bring to us: our own anonymised booking and research data, and what we hear from different communities, age groups and families.
Write
A member of our clinical team or editorial team writes the guide, using established clinical practice and peer-reviewed research. The writer is named on the article.
Clinically review
A certified psychologist or psychiatrist who specialises in the topic reviews it. The reviewer is never the writer, and medication topics always go to a psychiatrist.
Publish and update
The reviewer’s name, credentials and review date appear at the top of the guide. We re-check guides when evidence or services change, and at least once a year.
What every reviewer checks
Each guide is reviewed by one named clinician who is qualified in its subject and did not write it. Their name links to their profile, so you can see who they are and how to book them.
Read how we verify every psychologist on credentials and confidentiality.
- The facts and advice match current clinical practice and expert consensus.
- Nothing in the guide could put a reader at risk. Anything about self-harm or suicide points to emergency help (999).
- No overclaims: no cures, no guarantees.
- Medication information never includes dosing advice and always points to a psychiatrist.
- The language is clear, kind and free of stigma.
The clinicians who review our guides
Experienced psychologists and a psychiatrist, most trained at the University of Dhaka. Each reviews the guides closest to their clinical work.

Sources
We cite peer-reviewed research, clinical guidelines (for example WHO and NICE) and reputable health bodies, and link to them where a guide makes a clinical claim. We never rest a clinical claim on a single study.
Updates and corrections
When a guide changes meaningfully, its “Last updated” date changes. When a clinician re-reviews it, its “Last reviewed” date changes. Spotted an error? Email info@chumwellness.com and we will check and correct it.
How we use technology
We use digital tools, including AI writing tools, to help research and draft some guides. That work always starts from what we learn from people across Bangladesh: our own anonymised booking and research data, and what we hear from different communities, age groups and families. No guide is published on the strength of a tool. Every guide is edited by our team, checked against our own data, and reviewed and approved by the named clinician before it is published, and before it is even saved to the website as a draft.
Independence and privacy
Our guides are not sponsored, and we do not accept payment to recommend products or services. Client stories are shared only with permission, with identifying details changed.
Guides inform. Psychologists help.
Our guides are general information, not a diagnosis or treatment plan. If you are worried about your mental health, talk to one of our certified psychologists, online from anywhere in Bangladesh or in person.
In immediate danger? If you or someone else is at risk of harm right now, call 999.
