From Mindo to Chum Wellness
Chum Wellness began in 2018 as Mindo — a forum started by founder Imrul Kayes after losing a university senior to suicide, offering support to people going through difficult times. Over the years it grew from a personal charity effort into a full mental-health platform, and in December 2022 it rebranded as Chum Wellness.
Today Chum connects people across Bangladesh with 50+ licensed, credential-verified psychologists and counsellors — online nationwide, or in person in Dhaka. The mission has not changed since day one: make quality mental-health care accessible, affordable and confidential for everyone.
Recognised by
UNDP Youth Co:Lab
Chum was recognised through Youth Co:Lab, the largest youth social-entrepreneurship movement in Asia and the Pacific, co-created by UNDP and the Citi Foundation. The work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
