Before we show you where to get help in Dhaka City, let’s clear the air. Yes, counseling helps out with depression. But, firstly, you need to know the type of depression because the counseling will vary on it.
But, the great news is that depression can be treated. Almost 85-90% of people respond well to the treatment. You could use meds like an anti-depressant for the treatment.
For now, let’s focus on the counseling only.
Counseling does work on depression. But, the symptom and severity of depression matter. Because if the symptoms are severe and depression has been there for a long time, it’s better to go for treatment. Here, a psychologist and psychiatrist can help more.
But, if the symptoms aren’t too severe and the state of depression is relatively recent, it’s better to go to a counselor.
Many people don’t go to counselors because they think there aren’t a lot of capable ones there.
Let me tell you, there are a lot of capable professionals in Dhaka.
Besides, it’s not even like you’ll have a tough time commuting to the counseling centers. After Covid-19, virtual counseling is being considered a lot and you can try that as well
